La Balij è una giovane foresta tra Zoetermeer, Pijnacker-Nootdorp e Delft, composta da una foresta naturale, una foresta paludosa, sentieri per passeggiate e percorsi ciclabili e una foresta giochi. Si trova anche una fattoria cittadina al confine con La Balij. Insieme alla Foresta di Biesland, La Balij costituisce un pezzo in crescita di 'polmone verde' lungo 15 chilometri tra Zoetermeer e Delft. La Balij è grande 360 ettari.
