De 'Blauwe Steen' in Ophovenderheide vormt de grens tussen Wijshagen, Gruitrode en Opglabbeek. In de volksmond wordt deze hoeksteen het 'Driedorpenpunt'.
Deze steen symboliseert het einde van de ondergrondse mijnconcessie van de Kempische Steenkoolmijnen: de mijn van Zwartberg ligt op enkele kilometers. In de buurt van de Blauwe Steen liggen voorts de vennen Turfven en Zwartven.
