Het werk ‘Vélo-droom’, van Jan Clement uit 2018, grijpt terug naar de ondertussen 2 verdwenen velodromen (wielerpistes) die Liedekerke rijk was tussen 1919 en 1955. In 1919 werd tussen de huidige Velodroomstraat, de Sint-Gabriëlstraat, de huidige Nieuwstraat en de Bombardonstraat de 1e Liedekerkse cementen velodroom geopend. Het gaf wielerbaanfanaten de kans om zich te laten aanmoedigen door het volk en zich te meten met elkaar. Een 2e Velodroom werd (na afbraak van de 1e renbaan in 1933) 20 meter van de 1e gebouwd in 1946 en terug afgebroken in 1955. De 2 renners zijn gemaakt uit roestvrij staal, waarvoor Jan samenwerkte met het Liedekerks metaalbedrijf Lippens.
