Ressen, niedersorbisch Rašyn, is een plaats in de zuid-brandenburgse Landkreis Oberspreewald-Lausitz. De plaats maakt deel uit van de gemeente Neu-Seeland, die tot het Amt Altdöbern behoort en wordt gerekend tot het officiële nederzettingsgebied van de Sorben/Wenden.
Ressen ligt in de Neder-Lausitz. De plaats is het noordelijke deel van de gemeente Neu-Seeland. In het oosten en zuidoosten grenst de plaats aan Neupetershain. In het noorden ligt de wijk Greifenhain van de stad Drebkau en in het noordwesten de wijk Pritzen van de plaats Altdöbern. In het westen en zuidwesten worden de gemeentelijke delen van Neu-Seeland Lubochow en Bahnsdorf aangrenzend.
