Openbare scholen is een werk van de gemeente Ribes de Freser dat is opgenomen in het Inventaris Patrimoni Architectònic van Catalonië. Het herbergt het Institut Escola Vall de Ribes, dat tot 2021 bekend stond als Institut Escola Ribes de Freser.
De openbare scholen van Ribes de Freser behoren tot de typologie die ook door Jeroni Martorell in Sant Joan de les Abadesses is gebruikt. Ze bestaan uit een begane grond en twee verdiepingen in het centrale gedeelte en een begane grond en een verdieping aan de zijkanten. Het is een symmetrisch gebouw dat een latere, hoewel zeer geslaagde, wijziging onderging.
