Op 28 juli 1928 huldigde de stad Soissons in de Rue de la Bannière een gedenkteken voor het Britse leger in. Het monument werd ontworpen door de beeldhouwers Herbet Hart en Eric Henry Kennington, en de architecten Gordon H. Holt en Verner O. Rees. Drie Britse soldaten staan op een voetstuk in het midden van het monument. Ze gaan vooraf aan een muur van witte stenen, typisch voor de regio Soissonnais, waarop de namen staan van 3.987 officieren en soldaten die tijdens de oorlog geen herkenbare begrafenis kregen. Op deze zelfde muur herinnert een inscriptie aan het offer van deze mannen die in de Eerste Wereldoorlog aan de zijde van de Franse legers kwamen vechten. Vraag naar de toegangscode bij de VVV
