Al sinds halverwege de 19e eeuw staat hier een koepeltje om wandelaars een rustpunt te bieden, met uitzicht op het dorp Bennekom. Van dat laatste kunnen we niet meer genieten want het uitzicht is door de begroeiing helemaal verdwenen. Bovendien werd het in 2004 niet alleen gerestaureerd maar ook zo'n 50 meter verplaatst.
Nazaten van de toenmalige eigenaar, Albertus van Daalen schonken het koepeltje in 1929 aan de VVV. Het moet een geliefd plekje geweest zijn want het komt voor op verschillende oude ansichtkaarten.
