En el cementerio de Braibant, esta pequeña capilla está considerada un sepulcro de interés histórico local , ya que aquí está enterrado un personaje ilustre .
Jean-Baptiste Julien d'Omalius d'Halloy, nacido en 1783 y muerto en 1875 a la edad de 91 años, es conocido y reconocido por sus pares como la primera persona en cartografiar geológicamente el Imperio Francés.
También desempeñó un papel político importante a nivel local ( alcalde de Skeuvre y luego Braibant), provincial y luego nacional ( gobernador de la provincia de Namur, consejero de estado, senador, primer vicepresidente del Senado).
