La Baraque Michel è una località situata sull'altopiano delle Alte Fens. È il terzo punto più alto del Belgio e della Regione Vallona, con un'altitudine di 674 metri.
La Baraque Michel è stata fondata tra il 1811 e il 1813 da un uomo di nome Michel Schmitz di Herbiester (un piccolo villaggio vicino a Jalhay). All'epoca, era già una locanda, ma anche un rifugio per viaggiatori smarriti.
In caso di nebbia, la campana veniva suonata, il che portò al salvataggio di più di un centinaio di persone durante il diciannovesimo secolo.
Oggi, La Baraque è ancora sede di una locanda ed è il punto di partenza per molti sentieri attraverso le Fens che la circondano.
