Brauerei Van Eecke (1624) und Brauerei Het Sas (1572) sind zwei der ältesten noch aktiven Brauereien in der Westhoek. Zusammen verbinden sie mehr als 4 Jahrhunderte Handwerk, Tradition und Leidenschaft für Bier.
Die Geschichte der Brauerei Van Eecke spielt sich in Watou ab, als Schlossbrauerei des Grafen von Watou. Diese Brauerei kann mit Gruppen ab 20 Personen besucht werden (nur nach Vereinbarung). Radfahrer und Wanderer können sich im Brouwershof neben der Brauerei auf eine frische Auszeit oder ein Geschenkpaket mit Bieren freuen. 1981 entwickelte Karel Leroy das berühmte Poperings Hommelbier anlässlich der dreijährlichen Hopfenfeste.
Die Brauerei kann in Gruppen ab 20 Personen besucht werden.
