The home Pro Juventute Air et Soleil was built on the orders of Baron Louis Empain. After an incident on a boat, which did not have adverse consequences, the life of Baron Empain takes a turn. The industrialist decides to change his way of life. He renounces his noble title, minimizes his profitable activities, and establishes the foundation Fondation Pro Juventute. This charitable foundation aimed at the elevation and development of youth in moral, intellectual, and physical aspects. Architect Antoine Courtens, who had already completed several designs on behalf of Louis Empain, was commissioned to design this home.
