Cocksdorp er den yngste og mest nordlige landsby på Texel. Landsbyen blev grundlagt i 1835 og er opkaldt efter Nicolas Joseph de Cock, der tog initiativet til opdækning og inddæmning af Buitenveld, området mellem det gamle land på Texel og øen Eijerland.
Waddenkirken i Cocksdorp (bevaringsværdig bygning) er en neoklassisk salgs-kirke, der dateres tilbage til 1841. Over indgangen findes et lille klokketårn. Facaden af Waddenkirken i Cocksdorp har ioniske pilastre og blokformede side-lisenser.
