Formodentlig var dette oprindeligt broderhuset for det adelsstift. Her blev gejstlige indkvarteret, som kom for at prædike eller høre skriftestol som præster i stiftskirkens. Efter den franske revolution kom bygningen i hænderne på familien de Matthys, som omdannede den til et herresæde i klassicistisk stil. I 1950 var det endda et hotel-restaurant. Både slottet og parken er beskyttet som landskab.
