Greven Constant du Val de Beaulieu, borgmester i Mons, erhvervede i 1803 Cambron-klosteret. Hans søn, general Édouard Duval de Beaulieu de Blaregnies, fik opført det nuværende slot ud fra det gamle sygehus på klosteret. Udført mellem 1852 og 1854, er konstruktionen tilskrevet den athoiske arkitekt Désiré Limbourg. Han arbejdede for Leopold I samt for hans søn. Fra samme periode er smedejernsgittere ved indgangen til ejendommen præget af de sammenflettede initialer DVB fra greverne du Val de Beaulieu. Familien du Val ejede også slottet i Attre og slottet Beaulieu nær Mons.
