Groß Zecher is a district of the municipality of Seedorf in the Herzogtum Lauenburg district in southeastern Schleswig-Holstein.
Groß Zecher was first mentioned in a document in 1194 as Scachere in the Isfried partition contract. The name has Wendish origins. For a long time, Groß Zecher was characterized by agriculture. The village is shaped by lake, forest, and farmland areas and possesses a large estate, Gut Groß Zecher, which has been in the possession of the von Witzendorff family since 1681. From 1888/89 and again from 1948 to 2006, the municipality belonged to the Amt Sterley, which was merged with the Amt Gudow in 1971 to form the Amt Gudow-Sterley.
