Den sogne kirke i Ponte de Lima kaldes også Santa Maria dos Anjos kirken.
Kirken stammer fra et tempel bygget mellem det 12. og 13. århundrede. I det 15. århundrede blev kirken genopbygget.
De fleste træsnit indeni stammer fra det 18. århundrede. Det vigtigste findes på den sydlige side af tværskibet og består af et stort altar i nationalstil fra 1729, viger for Vor Frue af Sorger.
Det neogotiske roset vindue opstod i 1932, inspireret af det fra São Francisco kirken i Porto.
