L'església de San Miguel de Jerez és un bell temple construït entre els segles XV i XVIII . Incorpora elements dels tres grans estils arquitectònics de cada època: gòtic, renaixentista i barroc.
A l'interior hi ha una capella del sagrari rematada per una cúpula octogonal. Són d'interès el sagrari, el Sant Crucifix de la Salut i la custodia processional (Una custòdia és un recipient, generalment d'or, en el qual s'exhibeix l'hostia consagrada).
El gran retaule major sobre un absis de cinc vessants i íntegrament en fusta, va ser dissenyat i executat en gran part entre 1601 i 1649 pel prestigiós dibuixant Juan Martínez Montañés, posteriorment continuat per José de Arce entre 1641 i 1655.
