L'église de San Miguel de Jerez est un magnifique temple construit entre le XVe et le XVIIIe siècle . Il contient des éléments des trois grands styles architecturaux de chaque époque : gothique, Renaissance et baroque.
A l'intérieur se trouve une chapelle tabernacle surmontée d'une coupole octogonale. Il convient de noter le tabernacle, le Saint Crucifix de la Santé et l'ostensoir processionnel (un ostensoir est un support, généralement en or, dans lequel l'hostie consacrée est affichée).
Le grand retable principal sur une abside à cinq côtés et entièrement en bois, a été en grande partie conçu et exécuté entre 1601 et 1649 par le prestigieux imagiste Juan Martínez Montañés, poursuivi plus tard par José de Arce entre 1641 et 1655.
