Llarg Dr. António de Magalhães és un agradable espai vorejat d'arbustos, ubicat al centre de Ponte de Lima, prop de Villa Belmira i commemora al notable jurisconsult i alcalde de Ponte de Lima António de Magalhães Fangs d'Araújo Queiroz, pare del regidor Antonio de Magalhães.
António de Magalhães va néixer a Ponte de Lima el 12 de febrer de 1838 i va morir a Ponte de Lima el 19 de desembre de 1888. Es va comprometre amb el progrés de Ponte de Lima i va promoure l'obertura de carrers, carreteres i la construcció d'escoles. Entre les seves iniciatives va estar la fundació de l'Asylo Dona Maria Pia, una institució destinada a donar suport als més desafavorits.
