Largo Dr. António de Magalhães er et behageligt område med buskbeplantninger, beliggende i centrum af Ponte de Lima, tæt på Villa Belmira og mindes den bemærkelsesværdige jurisprudent og borgmester i Ponte de Lima António de Magalhães Barros de Araújo Queiroz, far til byrådsmedlem António de Magalhães.
António de Magalhães blev født i Ponte de Lima den 12. februar 1838 og døde i Ponte de Lima den 19. december 1888. Han arbejdede for fremgangen i Ponte de Lima og fremmede åbningen af gader, veje og opførelsen af skoler. Blandt hans initiativer var oprettelsen af "Asylo Dona Maria Pia" (Maria Pia College), en institution der havde til formål at støtte de mest udsatte.
