Beliggende i den nordlige del af kommunen Zwijndrecht, øst for landsbyens kerne i Kallo, på den venstre bredd af Schelde. Oprindeligt blev der her oprettet et fort i 1584 på ordre fra hertugen af Parma; bygget af feltmarskal marquis de Roubaix. Fort Saint-Marie udgjorde sammen med fort Saint-Philips på den højre bred en del af pontonbroen over Schelde. Fort Saint-Marie eksisterede efter nedrivningen af broen i 1585. I 1865 blev et nyt fort bygget i fortbælten omkring Antwerpen (se Zwijndrecht). Siden 1961: basis for den belgiske flåde.
