Gelegen im Norden der Gemeinde Zwijndrecht, östlich des Dorfkerns von Kallo, am linken Scheldeufer. Ursprünglich wurde hier 1584 auf Befehl des Herzogs von Parma eine Festung errichtet; gebaut von dem Feldherrn Marquis von Roubaix. Die Festung Saint-Marie bildete zusammen mit der Festung Saint-Philips am rechten Ufer einen Teil der Schwimmbrücke über die Schelde. Die Festung Saint-Marie blieb nach dem Abbruch der Brücke im Jahr 1585 bestehen. 1865 wurde eine neue Festung im Festungsring rund um Antwerpen erbaut (siehe Zwijndrecht). Seit 1961: Basis der belgischen Marine.
