Mod slutningen af det 11. århundrede blev et kollegium af kanoner indført for at genindføre strenghed i livsvanerne hos de hellige Emilion-præster. Der blev derefter opført et kloster med sin arkade og en romansk kirke, som skulle blive kollegiekirken. Opført i det 12. århundrede har skibet samt dets facade, der er kronet af et jævnt klokketårn, bevaret deres romanske stil. Koret stammer fra det 14. århundrede og huser et klassificeret orgel, det enestående instrument bygget i 1892 af Gabriel Cavaillé-Coll, søn af den berømte orgelbygger fra det 19. århundrede, Aristide Cavaillé-Coll.
