Gegen Ende des 11. Jahrhunderts wurde ein Kolleg von Kanonikern gegründet, um die Strenge im Lebensstil der heiligen Emilianer wiederherzustellen. Es wurde dann ein Kloster mit einem Kreuzgang und einer romanischen Kirche errichtet, die zur Kollegialkirche werden sollte. Das Hauptschiff, zusammen mit seinem Vorbau, der von einem abgerissenen Glockenturm überragt wird, wurde im 12. Jahrhundert errichtet und hat seinen romanischen Stil bewahrt. Der Chor stammt aus dem 14. Jahrhundert und beherbergt ein denkmalgeschütztes Orgel, das einzigartige Instrument, das 1892 von Gabriel Cavaillé-Coll, dem Sohn des berühmten Orgelbauers des 19. Jahrhunderts, Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, gebaut wurde.
