Das Schulzentrum Saint-Remacle in Stavelot empfängt 1200 Kinder vom Kindergarten bis zur Sekundarschule.
Sie wurde 1856 von Dekan Nyssen gegründet. Für die deutschsprachigen Schüler gab es „classe allemande“. Es gibt auch ein Internat. Die berühmtesten Schüler sind Priester Conrardy und General Jacques de Dixmude (1858-1928).
Saint Remacle wurde um 600 geboren und starb um 669 und war ein katholischer und orthodoxer Heiliger, Gründer der Abtei von Stavelot im Jahr 651 und erster Abt der Abtei von Solignac.
