El centro escolar Saint-Remacle en Stavelot recibe a 1200 niños desde la escuela infantil hasta la secundaria.
Fue fundado por el deán Nyssen en 1856. Para los estudiantes de habla alemana había 'classe allemande'. También hay un internado. Los alumnos más conocidos son el sacerdote Conrardy y el general Jacques de Dixmude (1858-1928).
Saint Remacle nació alrededor del 600 y murió alrededor del 669, y fue un santo católico y ortodoxo, fundador de la abadía de Stavelot en 651 y primer abad de la abadía de Solignac.
