The PhotoMuseum was festively reopened on March 21, 2004, after extensive renovations. The existing warehouse, which had housed the museum since 1986, was expanded with a new building designed by architect Georges Baines. For further development of the building after the design phase, Baines collaborated with architect Patrick De Sterck.
