The history of this brewery began in 1933, when Charles Caulier hung up his miner's uniform to start a new career as a beer dealer in Bonsecours. At that time, beer was still delivered by cart. In 1960, his two sons decided to take over the business. To increase profits, they opened several cafes. In 1980, they purchased the buildings of the former tannery in Péruwelz. In 1996, their first own beer was launched on the market, Bon Secours. In 2012, the third generation joined the company. Significant investments were made in both 2018 and 2022. Two new beers were also launched: Paix Dieu and STUUT. The historic brewing hall was expanded, new fermentation and lager tanks were added, a second brewing hall, a larger fermentation room, and a larger hot room were constructed. The characterful and 100% natural beers are brewed with the pure water from a spring in Péruwelz. In the modern buildings, there is also an experience shop. You can take a tour and a 'brew your own beer' course here.
