Description

The Huwynsbossen in Lichtervelde (35 ha) form a beautiful green lung in a relatively nature-poor area. It is therefore a major attraction for many cyclists and walkers in the area. Explore with the help of the Margriete trail (2 km - start parking) or venture on the extensive Heihoek walking route (8.5 km). For horse riders and mountain bikers, there is also a bridle path and a mountain bike trail. The little ones among us can romp to their heart's content in the play forest 'De Elf Gemeten'. In the Ridderstraat, near the forest, there is a bicycle parking and a cozy area for picnics.
