Waterland-Oudeman is a district of the municipality of Sint-Laureins in the Belgian province of East Flanders. Waterland-Oudeman is part of Meetjesland. It was an independent municipality until the end of 1976. It covers an area of 9.01 km² and had a population of 458 on January 1, 2008.
Waterland is the name given by founder Hiëronymus Lauweryn to the newly established lordship. This refers to the fact that the area that was previously water became land due to its dykes. After Hiëronymus' death in 1509, his son Matthias took over the role of dyke builder. In honor of his father, he named the new polder the Oudemanspolder. Waterland-Oudeman is thus a contraction of these two names.
