Het Goed ter Loo occupies an important place in the history of Loppem. In the 17th and 18th centuries, ter Loo was the seat of the lordships of Loppem and Den Houtschen. From 1551 to 1916, the castle was inhabited by the De Schietere de Lophem family. The castle is not accessible, but the park is. In addition to a nice picnic area and an information board, there is also a short walking route provided, which guides you through the park and the sights along the way such as the church and the castle.
