The brewery was founded by Nino Bacelle in 1996 as a beer company under the name Brewery Nino Bacelle. Originally, only one beer was released, Guldenberg, named after the former Guldenberg Abbey in Wevelgem, where beer is said to have been brewed in the past. Brewing took place at Brewery Deca in Woesten, and in the first year, 9000 liters of Guldenberg were brewed. In the mid-nineties, Nino met Guido Devos, and in 1996 they decided to establish a limited liability company together, and the brewery received its current name. Subsequently, seven additional beers were created.
