1.Banestien. The railway was constructed in the years leading up to 1900 and was meant to connect Jutland diagonally, starting in Langå, which at the time was one of the major traffic hubs in Jutland, and ending in Bramming. The numerous river valleys caused the railway to first turn southwest in Laurbjerg. For almost 60 years, the railway was of great importance for the development of the towns along the line, and in Bøstrup, the old station building still stands, as do several old signalman houses close to the current bike path. By the end of the 60s, the railway lost its local significance due to fewer passengers and less freight. In 1973, the railway was completely closed. 2. A bit of church history Vellev Church dates back to the great church building period around the year 1100. It originally consisted of a Romanesque choir and nave, predominantly built of fieldstone blocks, rough fieldstones, and on a slanted granite base. Originally, the church had a beam ceiling. Around the year 1500, a tower was built of monk bricks, but it collapsed in 1758.
