Its special location and its simple yet personal architecture have made it one of the architectural symbols of Jerez.
El Gallo Azul means Blue rooster.
On the occasion of the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition, the Domecq family commissioned the Sevillian architect to create a building that would serve to embellish the intersection between Calle Larga and Calle Santa María , in the square of the same name as the building, as a gift to the city .
It has the particularity of its almost circular floor plan. On the ground floor there is an open gallery with white marble Ionic columns and on the upper floor there is a large terrace . There is a restaurant and bar.
It is also a building worth seeing and imagining what it would have been like in its glorious days.
