The Chaume du Drumont, a high place of resistance, was burnt down by the Germans on 23 September 1944. The Corps Franc Pommiés fought hard there at the end of November 1944. A plaque evokes the sacrifice of these volunteers. At 1,200 m an orientation table of the French Alpine Club dating from 1891 explains the marvellous circular panorama. A glance at the valley reveals Bussang, nestled on the side of the Tête des Corbeaux. The panorama of the Ballon d'Alsace, the Rossberg and the Grand Ballon is simply grandiose. To the south, on a very clear day, you can see the Swiss Alps. The panorama offers an alternation of wooded peaks and urbanized valleys.
