The town hall has stood on Place Stanislas since the 18th century. Its large facade, adorned with the arms of Stanislas and the coat of arms of the City of Nancy, closes the former royal square.
The doors open onto a peristyle that leads to the grand staircase, adorned with a one-piece wrought-iron banister, a true masterpiece by Jean Lamour.
The staircase, whose walls are adorned with Girardet frescoes, leads to the Salon Carré, an Italian-style salon, which precedes the Grand Salon.
