This mansion was rebuilt in the second half of the 18th century. It owes its name to one of its owners, Pierre-Antoine-Victor Huot de Goncourt, former artillery captain and uncle of the writers Jules and Edmond de Goncourt, who bought it in 1816. Of the building that preceded it, only the cellars from the end of the 15th or 16th century remain under the main building.
This building is without doubt the most beautiful achievement of neocastrian civil architecture. Built in ashlar, it offers a symmetrical layout with five bays spread over three levels.
