The inhabited area is located along the road that connects S. Anatolia with Piedipaterno, at an altitude of 334 m a.s.l.. It is about 15 km from Spoleto and about 30 km from Norcia.
From 1926 to 1968, Castel San Felice was served by the Spoleto-Norcia railway, a narrow-gauge line that connected Spoleto with Norcia, which operated from November 1, 1926, until July 31, 1968, when it was discontinued. The tracks of the railway are almost entirely preserved, and the bed has been converted into a bike path.
