Description

With the expansion of Eygelshoven as a result of the coal mines, the old St. John the Baptist Church (the Little Church) on the church mountain became too small and there was a need for a larger church. In 1920 the construction of the new church started to the design of Alphons Boosten and Jos Ritzen from Maastricht. This church has been a national monument since 2001.
