Brouwerij Van Eecke (1624) y Brouwerij Het Sas (1572) son dos de las cervecerías más antiguas aún en funcionamiento en Westhoek. Juntas combinan más de 4 siglos de artesanía, tradición y pasión por la cerveza.
La historia de Brouwerij Van Eecke se desarrolla en Watou, como cervecería del Conde de Watou. Esta cervecería se puede visitar con grupos de a partir de 20 personas (solo con cita previa). Ciclistas y caminantes pueden disfrutar de un refrescante descanso o un paquete de cervezas en Het Brouwershof junto a la cervecería. En 1981, Karel Leroy desarrolló la famosa Poperings Hommelbier como resultado de las fiestas tricentenario del lúpulo.
La cervecería se puede visitar en grupo a partir de 20 personas.
