Las ruinas del Gran Arnsbourg, situado entre Philippsbourg y Niederbronn-les-Bains, pertenecen a un castillo construido a mediados del siglo XII. El objetivo de la construcción del castillo era vigilar el valle del Zinsel que conducía a Bitche. En 1229, Luis de Arnsbourg fue el primer ocupante del castillo; en 1332, pasó a manos de los Sires de Lichtenberg, hasta la extinción de la familia en 1481. Después pasó a ser propiedad de los condes de Deux-Pont-Bitche, antes de ser parcialmente destruido en 1525 durante la Guerra de los Campesinos.
Por razones de seguridad, desde 1999 está prohibido visitar el castillo.
