Les ruines du Grand Arnsbourg, situées entre Philippsbourg et Niederbronn-les-Bains, appartiennent à un château construit au milieu du 12eme siècle. Le but de la construction du château était la surveillance de la Vallée de la Zinsel qui menait jusqu'à Bitche. En 1229, Louis d'Arnsbourg est le premier occupant du château ; en 1332, il passa entre les mains des Sires de Lichtenberg, jusqu’à l'extinction de la famille en 1481. Il devient alors propriété des Comtes de Deux-Pont-Bitche, avant d’être partiellement détruit en 1525, pendant la Guerre des Paysans.
Pour des raisons de sécurité, il est interdit de se rendre sur ce château-fort depuis 1999.
