De ruïnes van de Grand Arnsbourg, gelegen tussen Philippsbourg en Niederbronn-les-Bains, behoren tot een kasteel dat in het midden van de 12e eeuw werd gebouwd. Het doel van de bouw van het kasteel was de bewaking van de Zinselvallei die naar Bitche leidde. In 1229 was Louis d'Arnsbourg de eerste bewoner van het kasteel; in 1332 ging het over in handen van de Sires van Lichtenberg, tot het uitsterven van de familie in 1481. Daarna werd het eigendom van de graven van Deux-Pont-Bitche, voordat het in 1525 tijdens de Boerenoorlog gedeeltelijk werd verwoest.
Om veiligheidsredenen is het sinds 1999 verboden het kasteel te bezoeken.
