5 de febrero de 1905 - L.P. Zocher, arquitecto paisajista de Haarlem, recibió la tarea de crear un nuevo parque en estilo paisajístico inglés tras diversas inundaciones durante tormentas. La función de contención de agua de la muralla de la ciudad en el parque se reforzó mediante el desvío del Canal de la Ciudad y el aumento de la altura de la muralla. Por lo tanto, se debía crear un nuevo parque entre el Galgenbolwerk y la Cellesbroederpoort.
En la imagen, el parque se extiende completamente hasta el Puerto Exterior.
