Le village de Gruyères, caché au creux d'un vallon sauvage romantique, est composé d'anciennes et jolies maisons rurales et de son petit château moyenâgeux datant du 14e-19e siècles. Il aurait remplacé une résidence de chasse, bâtie par le comte de Chiny vers l'an 1000. Domaine privé visible uniquement de l'extérieur.
