Ispagnac, entre Cévennes et Gorges du Tarn, est situé dans une vallée surnommée « le jardin de la Lozère ». Cette vallée avec ses arbres fruitiers et ses coteaux ensoleillés est le lieu de rencontres des trois roches mères de la Lozère (calcaire, schiste, granit).
Les hommes ont depuis l’âge de fer travaillés ces roches, nous laissant un héritage patrimonial qui a traversé les siècles. En effet, dans le Vallon d’Ispagnac, les menhirs sur les hauteurs du village côtoient l’église Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul d’architecture romane datant du XIIème siècle situé dans le vieux bourg. Et bien sûr, dans cette vallée coule la rivière magique, le Tarn.
