Il comune, compresi i suoi quartieri Wildenbruch-Bergheide, Wildenbruch-Lehnmarke e Wildenbruch-Six, conta 2.089 abitanti su un'area di 11,22 km² ed è situato sulla strada statale 73 tra Michendorf e Luckenwalde, ai margini del parco naturale Nuthe-Nieplitz. Il quartiere si estende nell'area compresa tra la strada federale 2 a ovest, l'autostrada federale 10 a nord e il lago Seddiner a sud.
Il comune è noto nella regione anche per la sua imponente chiesa in pietra di campo e per il Golf e Country Club Seddiner See, i cui due campi da golf a 18 buche si estendono interamente sul territorio di Wildenbruch lungo la sponda nord del lago. Nel Medioevo, il villaggio aveva una funzione strategica importante per la protezione delle strade militari, commerciali e successivamente postali Leipzig–Berlin, ed era stato dotato di generose infrastrutture in occasione della colonizzazione tedesca dell’Est.
