Le premier édifice sacré découvert au sud de l'enceinte de Malophoros est un temple, communément appelé bâtiment Triolo , du nom de la famille propriétaire d'une propriété existante dans la région.
Le temple est précédé d'un grand autel. Le bâtiment ressemble à un temple archaïque aux proportions remarquables. Grâce à une restauration rigoureuse, les côtés nord et sud du bâtiment ont été reconstruits.
On sait avec certitude qu'après la destruction de la ville (409 avant JC) l'édifice fut réutilisé par les Carthaginois qui ajoutèrent un portique sur la façade orientale avec des piliers surmontés de chapiteaux égyptiens à rainures.
