La casa Pro Juventute Air et Soleil fue construida por encargo del barón Louis Empain. Tras un incidente en un barco, sin consecuencias desfavorables, la vida del barón Empain da un giro. El industrial decide cambiar su estilo de vida. Renuncia a su título nobiliario, minimiza sus actividades lucrativas y funda la organización Fondation Pro Juventute. Esta fundación benéfica tenía como objetivo la mejora y el desarrollo de la juventud, tanto en el ámbito moral, intelectual como físico. El arquitecto Antoine Courtens, que ya había realizado varios diseños por encargo de Louis Empain, recibe la tarea de diseñar esta casa.
