La Rotonde est un grand espace de jeu ouvert situé à Wenduine, au pied des dunes, abrité du vent par un grand brise-vent design. Sur cette courbe majestueuse de la digue trône la statue du comte de Smet de Naeyer (1843-1913), ancien ministre des Finances et des Travaux publics, puis Premier ministre sous Léopold II. Le comte de Smet de Naeyer contribua dans une large mesure au développement de l'infrastructure côtière belge.
